Camper is still in winter storage and will not come out until next month.
Did go to winter camp with the scout troop on Feb 2nd & 3rd. The boys will never win a food network challenge.

The wife and I were just discussing yesterday how much more expensive it would have been to camp this year (sold mine to a southerner end of last season).

Can't imagine a $120.00 fill up ON TOP of the ridiculous rates most campgrounds around here get. If you are in a decent area camping is still a fairly reasonable family outing. Not here.

I do 99% dry camping out here in So Cal. BLM land is $90 a year and National Forrest land (High desert) is free.

Dry camp.... less idiots, fewer (if any fees), and more open space....

I haven't been out yet this year, but I will at some point this month or next. I do camp in Va, often around Williamsburg or Va beach. I plan to spend some time up & down the I-81 corridor this year if I can afford to tow anywhere.

We are planning to head out next week to Lake Texhoma Texas about 750 miles one way. It will be the first RV trip of the year can't wait to get on the road.

+1.
Gotta look around for places that I can turn the 30' trailer around, though.

I'm currently located in Suffolk, VA at Davis Lakes & Campground. Nice Place.
Working a job in Portsmouth, VA. Been hear since Feb 4th. Might just take a couple weeks off and head for Thousand Trails in Gloucester VA before heading back to Florida.

My Fifth Wheel has supprised me with the way it handles the cold weather. The basement stays plenty warm. I put some wireless thermometers down there so I could monitor the temp. I'm on my second 30lb bottle of LP. The two ceramic heaters do most of the work in the trailer.
