12000 gvwr bumper pull

I have a 12000 gvwr bumper pull equipment trailer, can I pull it with any of the dodge trucks? When loaded it weighs in at 10300, I think after 9500 Dodge wants a fith wheel? Thanks for any help you can offer.

Bob

I think it's more a matter of the hitch capability, and whether the stock class IV will handle it... that and ensuring you have load leveling and anti-sway taken care of...

The 10,000 pound tow rating on mine just happened to be the capacity of the receiver. I installed a receiver with a 15,000 pound rating, problem solved.

To sum it up the truck is fine, could even do that with a 3/4ton hemi but you need an aftermarket hitch. Why Dodge puts 1/2ton hitches on a one ton I'll never understand.
