Where'd my carfax thread go

Where'd my carfax thread go? Did I break a rule of some sort? Just thought someone could help me save $29.99.

Spend the $29.95 instead of asking someone to break their agreement with Carfax, it is the right thing to do

When someones thread is pulled , are they sent a PM with any explanation? I have seen several posts asking "where's my thread." Maybe the Mod could send a PM when he pulls a thread to let the offending member know.

We try to notify people when possible. Sometimes the work load doesn't always allow us to do that. If you find one gone, then just send a pm to an admin. They will find out for you.

Having said this, the thread is in the wrong place, so I'm moving it.

I have seen people post that they had carfax and offer to run it for anyone if they wanted, and I have seen people ask other members to run a report for them, regardless of which question is posed the answers are usually the same.

People tell them to buy there own car fax and others stated they are defrauding carfax. here is carfax's take on it.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The CARFAX 30 Day Unlimited Reports Plan entitles you to unlimited CARFAX Vehicle History Reports for 30 days, starting the day you run your first Report -- all for just one charge. You won't be charged again unless you choose to purchase another CARFAX Account for another 30-Day term.

If you would like to order a CARFAX 30 Day Unlimited Account and run reports on multiple VINs and Safety & Reliability Reports for one low price.

Already have an account and are looking to run more Reports - click the "Login" above to access your Account.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

So if I ask or pose one of the above questions what laws or site rules would I be breaking?

Thanks,

Tim

Thanks for the clarification. Using carfax is a joke anyway, anything can be hidden from them.

Thanks for bringing me up to speed on it,

Tim

I simply asked because I have seen threads asking the same thing before. I've seen people asking advice about a truck they were considering with replies offering a carfax report for them. I've seen repiles that said send me the vin. I certainly would not have asked anything about it had I known it would have turned into a mess like this.

I wouldn't call this a mess. I would call it an education on what you can and can't do.... and now that we're all a bit smarter because of it, end of discussion.
