Tranny Threads

Since there is a ton of problems with these why not just sticky the main ones out there or something for the noobs to read. We all know its the same guys always replying with the same responses. We all made our choice and we all want to praise the people that made our parts right? Well its never going to stop and well all know it example would be Ford Vs. Chevy its on going and never ending and people will never be convinced either way. To me the only reason anyone needs to ask a tranny question is to start something or to want facts, but what are facts and what is BS how does the customer know? Someone has to set the customer straight right but who? I think we just need to have a sticky with the contact info of each manufacturer and let the customer decide themselves with no input from any of us.

Re:Tranny Threads

In my opinion the threads would still happen. Probably always will.

Re:Tranny Threads

This is about aftermarket automatic transmissions, right? D** versus A**? I mean you won't kick me off for claiming that NV5600's with larger input shafts are better transmissions will you? Or that Southbend clutches are better than Centerforce or Ram clutches for our trucks, and here's why? (And no insults.)

, I think. Just trying to be sure I understand what's going on.

Re:Tranny Threads

Yes sir, we are trying to avoid the awful spectacle of "tranny wars" we have all seen here before.

Information is good, cheer leading and arguments are not welcome here.

Re:Tranny Threads

OK just a side thought what about stuff like the ATS patents in the adds that have nothing to do with trans thats a fact but if stated that would cause problems right? I looked them up and they have nothing to do with an auto. I found that as a fact. Its tough to discuss without causing probs with some people thats what Im getting at. Look how many threads you shut down. If it was given that there were no duscussions and a simple guide then so be it. Or if there is a thread of A or B then no one without should reply right? I just don't want to listen to all the bickering anymore, each is good in their own way and each is flawed in their own way we all know it but none will ever admit it.

Re:Tranny Threads

Unfortunately Jack, I think those that post before resolving with the vendor are in the majority for some reason. Don't ask me why. ???

I like the rules the way they are. Thanks.

Since there is a ton of problems with these ...., <snip>[/quote]What, threads or tranny's? Man, am I glad I've got a 6-shooter - I just ignore the A-tranny threads.

But what a great place to break-in Noobie Mods!

Re:Tranny Threads

Jamie,
The only thing I can tell you is that, it is changing. Some of us "old dogs" that were on the front lines of the "tranny wars" have since moved on. Its old, and every piece of the tranny has been discussed before. Just like the patent # you are talking about. If its what I think it is, that number is thier part number and was talked about a long time. Let it go. That is exaclty why tranny threads get locked here.
