Thread title editing . . .. ?

Thread title editing . . .. ?
Is it possible to set the titles such that one could later edit it as "Resolved". ---- Referring to the issue at hand being repaired.

Shoot me a PM with a link to the thread and I'll change it. 
We don't allow member changes to thread titles to prevent someone from changing them and other posters not being able to find the thread.
Or changing the title just to keep others from finding it again.
