Subscribed threads

For some reason, every time I reply to a thread, I get subscribed to it. Why is that? Is there a way for me to disable that feature? Thanks for the help.

User cp - edit options I believe. You can customize all of your emailing options there. Also, you can uncheck the subscribe option when posting.
