a show off thread

ive seen this done in other forums, they have a forum for showing off pictures/videos of your truck, your trucks set up, and drag and pull times.

something like that would be awesome

I think it's perfectly typical to show off in the respective forum.

I show off my first gen all the time in the first gen section.

I'd second that idea, maybe a pics only thread stickied at the top in the respective forum..i.e. a thread at the top of the 1st, 2nd, 3rd gen forums-I'm currently working on my 1st gen (gasser, but don't hold that against me..) and it would be nice to see what, for example, a 4" vs. 6" kit might look like- sort of a "electronic Cummins car show".

Isn't what you're describing the entire "Member Photos" section above? See...in between "Tech Facts" on the left and "Articles" on the right.
Why have another thread full of pics We already have this huge one:

If the member galleries were somehow organized by theme or year it could accomplish the same thing. It's hard to find, say, pics of just 1st gens, or third gens, etc....It just seems like it might be easier to sticky a thread and encourage members to post pics of their trucks...just a thought.

a forum with member pictures is one thing, but if you group the photos into generation specific categories +the added bonus of video, you could make the website a whole lot more fun to use.

I like it just the way it is now, I don't think a separate forum or stickied thread is the way to go for this stuff. We may do something different later on but for now, I don't see any changes.

oh i forgot to add that instead of it being its own seperate forum, mabey just putting in 3 different topics in the members pictures area. one for each generation. just so its easier to see peoples cars without having to look through thousands of pictures
