Yea, this kind of stuff happens everyday.
I threw a used car on line a few years back and got a guy from Germany or something asking me what it would cost to ship it. 
He was all ready to send me some big check and wanted my address real bad. 
I told him the car was rough and sent him a picture I found online of the same model car that was all smashed up (completely totaled).
He still wanted the car, said it wasn’t that bad, lol. I emailed the guy a few times messing with him before he gave up on me.

guy e mailed me and wanted to know if i was sure the injectors were not for sale. told him i had my local injector shop look at them and told this guy they thought they were worth 950. ha ha guys sends a message back hey no problem they look like a good injector but could you kindly send me your shipping info so i can get a check to you? told him i only except paypal and he says he only deals with address lol. what a morron.

Ok, just for some laughes I decided to email the michal johnson guy and tell him I had parts for sale. Here is the email and his response

Lary, what about personal checks...
Here in TX we have some protection, in that the DA will send the sheriff to serve a warrant on a bad-check writer, but what about bad checks that cross state lines?
What's the recourse then?

But then today I checked my email and in my junk mail I have two messages from April 12 from the same person asking about my item I have for sale. I got one on my truck, but I have seen them several times since I have been selling on E-Bay for years. I tell them bring cash, no checks of any kind and when they get to Charleston call my cell and we will make the deal. Never hear any more from them. Most of that type of scamming comes from out of the country...........

OK folks, so what I did was replace the email option with the pm option. This makes it so only registered users can contact you about your ad. That should all but eliminate those spammers trying to get at you with the stupid requests.
