Redirect

What's with the page that comes up after posting a reply to a thread? It takes a while to find the previous page or redirects me to the comment I just posted. Is this normal? Kurt

Yep, it's normal. I couldn't tell you why, but Jack has the site setup to run and it's best. So I'm sure there is a reason for it. Best thing to do if you want to go back to a specific forum is to use the drop down box on the lower right after you've posted your reply.

Yes it is normal. It's purpose is to let you know the post you just made was successful. Just hit the BACK button twice on your browser.

When the redirect was removed, it also removed very important background processes that needed to run. Over time, this caused a large amount of data to be stored in the database that didn't need to be. Scheduled tasks need to run and in order for some of them to do so, they are called while that redirect is taking place.

I use Opera, and now find it so much effort to actually have to go and use the back button. It's actually pretty funny how lazy I am at the computer.

Didn't know the new IE did that tho, I use Linux.
