Posting photo's
Can someone please give me some direction. I have never posted any photos on DTR, have just tried and received the message that my pics are too large. So resized them to 192 pixels which is just under the maximum allowed of 200. Now you need a microscope to see them. My pics in JPEG format are 1984 x 1488 x 2. (What's the x2?) Did a search and found how to post them under my sig but not in the body of the message. So please could someone explain in simple English to a simpleton how to post my photos? I have four photos to post.
Mucho gracias.

Re:Posting photo's
I sent you a PM covering most of it.
The only thing I forgot is how to get them into an album to begin with.
Pretty self explanitory, just go to members photos and fill in the title under "create an album".
Usually titled with the users name.
It will then take you to that album and give you an "add photo" box with a "browse" button by it.
Click on that, then find the pic you want on your computer and click "ok" (I think?).

Re:Posting photo's
Thanks phox. It look spretty simple so how come I can't do it. I feel stoooopid! I found the 'create an album' no problem and filled in the title. Then clicked on 'create album' and it takes me to a blank 'create an album'. No sign of what I typed in or an add photo or browse option. Where did I go wrong?
Thanks in advance for your patience.

Phox, never mind, I found the browse button. It is just a little different to what you said. Mods, please remove all the surplus additions under my name in members pics.
Thanks

Mexstan, what type camera are you using and what windows version are you running. The easiest way is to make a new folder, let's say in MY DOCUMENTS, and save them to this, if you've got winme or xp, you can open the new folder, it'll be blank, minimize, open your pics, right click and drag to the task bar over the new folder, give it a min to open up, then, STILL holding down the right click, drag it up to the folder, release and windows will place it there, just go to the task bar and click on the file you just came from, and repeat for each pic. We have moved up to win xp, and is messed up my mind, momma still uses a pencil and paper,
and my daughter at her job just uses white out on the screen (she's blonde), she crashed their computers and the first thing he guy said is "who put all these magnets on this computer" need I say BLONDE again. But drop and drag work really good if you already have a new folder to take them to.

Re:Posting photo's
I am using an Olympus C-720 and all the pics are already downloaded into a folder. Running Windows 2000 Pro.
Will try what you suggested later as I have no time right now.
Your daughter did WHAT??? Better be careful about saying things like that about your daughter, blond or not. On this site things like that could turn around and bite you.
Remember she has a lot of your genes, but will stop there. ;D

It's been so long since I started my album I forgot what steps it takes you through.
Didn't want to create another one to find out all the steps.
Wow, your pics are bloody huge.
You might want to turn down the resolution on the camera when taking pics just for posting here.
Mine has 3 settings, Large, Medium and Small.
I use Medium and they are still pretty big.
Small is great for posting, but they look crappy if someone zooms in for a closer look.
Click quote on this reply to see how I got the pic to show up here.

Re:Posting photo's
I can make the pics any size I want to. The first time I tried to post my pics in the members area they were refused as being too small, so I made them all a little larger. Perhaps that is why they appear so big to you. Don't have time to play with this any more tonight, but I will lick the problem. Thursday I hope to have a little time to try again. Thanks for your help.
