Possible forums: for sale Q?

I'm new here, and not savvy to how the site is run, but thought I would ask,
so flame politely, please!!

can we get four FOR SALE forums added to this site?

sort of like this site:
http://ls1.com/forums/index.html

But I would ask for:

Trucks for Sale

Trucks Wanted

Parts for Sale

Parts Wanted.

That makes it REAL easy to shop, sell and trade parts, and draws folks back to our site to trade, and therefore gives us a better chance to BOMB our trucks.

I assume everyone just logs back on the site here, and hits "View new posts" and this system I proposed puts all the For sale stuff where you can see if you need something.

I've got a Smittybilt Brushguard, a Fold Flat floor, and a soft Tonneau I need to get rid of, but our current FS pages don't look too encouraging.

is that good feedback, or bad?

OF COURSE, only paid advertisers (businesses) can advertise their GP's and specials in the Forums,
and again, that put thier sales or GP's in the "Veiw new posts" pages.

hth?

We already have this here, it is called the "Classified " section. It is perfect for this stuff and doesn't clutter up the forums, making them look like a flea market.

Check it out! Just remember you have to register separately over there

most of our site member don't cruize over there, prolly.

most folks open the site, click on "veiw new posts"
and then right click on interesting links and "open in new window"
and scroll thru the new posts (keeping that one page open) that way.
and then they close the "new windows" if not interested.

they never go into the for sale sections, because they have what they want.

but a good example is selling my Harley, I listed in the For Sale forum on the (camaro) site I post most, because I have a high post count, and guys on there know & trust me.

but the camaro guys would not go poking thru the FS forums looking for my bike ad, but the "view new posts" will expose it to all members of the forum, thats a bunch:

Sorry, no for sale items in the forums. If you want to buy or sell, it goes in the classifieds.

No problem. I appreciate the suggestion.

We are going to be upgrading the classifieds section soon, and you'll be able to use your forum login to get there. It'll also be much easier to upload pictures of your ads, and make contact with the owners.
