PM snafu's

I was wondering if this is happening to anyone else;

I had a PM this AM and I read it, then deleted it.

Went to the 'Other' forum, read what I wanted, then 'backed out' of it with the intent of going to the 'General' forum. As soon as I got back to the main page that lists all the forums, I get a message that says I have a new PM. I click 'OK' and get the PM screen, but it says, 'Invalid Private Message specified. If you followed a valid link, please notify the webmaster'.

Everytime I go to a forum, then back out to the main page, I Get this message. This has happened twice in the past, and I notified the webmaster by clicking on the word 'webmaster', but never heard anything further. I dunno if it's a problem developing with the board's software or it's something I'm doing, but was wondering if I'm the only one this is happening to.

When you back out in such a manner from the private message, from a forum or somewhere else, you're going to a cached page. Instead of backing out, you need to click the main forum link and the page will be updated. This is not a website issue.

Yes, anytime you click "back" in the browser, you are going to a cached page,
and if that particular page has a PM notifier, then you'll keep getting the notification.
A quick refresh (F5 if using IE) will fix that problem.

As DTR Janitor, you do realize you are in charge of cleaning up these problems, right?

I knew that! Just testing you guys! REALLY!

Sorry to get you guys up so early on a Saturday morning for such a trivial problem. I'll fax over some donuts right away!
