3k GSK SNAFU - HELP!

Tweaking truck. Gauge install went great. Even epoxied old clips on the back of new pillar mount. Now the fun part. New fuel plate and 3K GSK. You know the part that says CAUTION - do not drop parts into pump! Well, I did. The lower spring retainer. No problem I thought. Read somewhere to fish it out with a magnet. Now the real problem. The flaming magnet breaks off in the pump. HELP!
What is the procedure for draining the oil and getting to the access plug on the side and does anyone have any ideas after they stop laughing and saying "glad it aint me"?

Any and all help appreciated.

Glad it aint me.

Some people are born to be a smart ....

Can you see either of the parts? Maybe a larger magnet, or one of those flexible claw dooohickies

Hope ya can get it

Good news at last. Found a magnet with a flexible shaft (pretty cool). Got the spring retainer out without a hitch. Had to take the side plug out, remove the drain plug and suck the last of the oil out and could finally see the magnet (an el cheapo). Borrowed a long pair of forceps from my clinic where I work (hope the boss doesn't see this thread) and fished it out. I was prepared to get the fiber optic colonoscope out if this failed. In the end -- lesson learned -- take your time, don't use cheap tools have medical instruments at your disposal for help and don't give up (that's being smart!)
