Well, it would be nice if you could give me some information on what you're talking about, so that I could have somewhat of a clue where to begin. Now if you're experiencing the same issue that's in the thread listed below, then it's being worked on. If not, then I need to know what kind of problem you're having so I can check to see if it's a real issue or something else. Coming here and telling me to fix something when I don't have any information isn't going to get either one of us very far.

sorry for the lack of information jack! when you type something in to be searched, it takes you directly to the advanced search feature, then when you enter in the criteria, and submit it, it takes you to the same screen and doesnt search!

It's okay. I just can't do anything without the info.

So for now, just add a * or two after your search term and see if that makes a difference. You may be searching for something shorter than 4 characters. If that's the case, then it won't search for you without a wildcard, and the bug is that it doesn't tell you that. So yes, that's a pain but I promise you that I'm working on it. Might be a week or two, but it's in the works and I have a ticket open to change it.

The results you're looking for may not be there. A search feature on any site is not always going to give you the results that you'd like. Either way, it's being worked on.

I had a member pm me the other day with a complaint about the search feature. Entering at least 10 characters in the search box solved his problem.

i did a search for smoke switch, which is the exact title of the thread i started months back. the search feature just continually took me to the advanced search page, same scenario that brett is experiencing.

I have been getting the same results with the search. When I search, it takes me right back to the search screen. If I try multiple times, sometimes I get a database error, sometimes it tells me the search function is disabled.
