.pdf Files

I had a hard time finding any information on this, but why are we not allowed to post .pdf files? I wanted to post my Oil Analysis to my gallery.

You can host it on another site like Yahoo.com, or photobucket.com (You might have to convert it to a jpeg first though)

If I convert to a jpeg first, I will not have a problem posting to this site. I will get it posted, not worried about it really, just more curious as to why we can't just post .pdf files.

You can post a pdf file in the forum by using the Attach Files option when you write your post. Click on the Manage Attachments button which will allow you to attach a pdf file as long as it is not over 3.81 MB.

But I can't put a .pdf file in my gallery? What's the difference? It is only ~17KB

The simple answer is that the photo gallery is exactly that, a photo gallery. It's not a PDF gallery. If you want to post a PDF, you will need to do so in the forum.

Ok, I'll remember that, I was just curious why it was allowed one place and not another... no big deal - thanks for the replys.
