Number of posts
How are the number of post updated? If you go to my profile and read (Show the last 10 posts of this person) it will show 9, but in the topic area it only shows 5.

The number of posts adds up automatically, However any posts placed in the "Other" forum do not add to your total posts.
We had to shut the count down in that forum because some people :
were making frivolous posts just to raise their total number.
A waste of everybody's time and valuable server space.
