Newbie Help?

I just joined this site to learn more about diesels. I am thinking of getting a around a 94 Dodge Cummins truck due to it being in my price range.
Is there a place on this site that will explain all the terms you guys use? I read a bunch of the threads and they did not make sence to me because I know nothing about diesels. I just know they are a very capable platform, and are easily modified for big hp and tq.
I have extensive automotive knowledge in the feild of LS1 varient engines, so I know the basics.
If anyone can tell me if there is a help thread, or a newbie area that I can learn the basics, so I can join in on the more technical talk?

Welcome to DTR. Good to have you with us.

Check out the FAQ section. You'll find a lot of answers there.

Howdy

Welcome aboard Mykdiver.
At the top of the page, under the DTR banner, is a button that says "tech facts". If you click that, there is a wealth of info, an FAQ section and a terms section. Click here for the tech facts link
If you don't know, don't hesitate to ask. Someone will tell you. Folks around here like to help out.

Thanks, I will do that. Also thanks for the quick reply. I feel stupid not know anything about diesels, I am used to giving tech info not asking for it.
