New Sponsor Should Have Link
New Sponsor Should Have Link
On the front page, the welcome for the new sponsor says to click on the link at the top of the page. I guess whoever wrote that forgot that the ads rotate.
It would have been really nice if a link was put into the text welcoming the new advertiser so I could order my calendar NOW, and not have to wait until I run across the ad on one of the pages.... :

I agree. How about a sponsors page on the "Links" page? Or something that is easily looked up.

This has been suggested, but it was said no need for it. I for one think it would be handy to have a "sponser page" were you could click and see all the spoonsers and pick the one your looking for.

Re:New Sponsor Should Have Link
The main problem with this idea, is that sponsors come and go on an irregular basis, we would then end up with a page that contains out of date or incorrect information.

It doesn't have to be a fancy page. It shouldn't take any more maintenance than what is expended by maintaining the banner at the top of the page.
Most mods have 2000-3000+ posts, the incremental load would be negligible.
Has anyone asked the advertisers? Maybe they would like that; just maybe it might help revenue.

This would seem like a great idea if it were possible, however the forum does not work in this manner. All the Admins and Mods do not have the access to the server required to make these changes.
And even if they did, It requires much more work than you propose. Each page has to be drawn up in forum template format HTML, then sent up to the server. We can not then go back in and just remove one name and add another when we feel like it.
For any changes an entirely new page is made and the process repeats itself, We are not talking about 5 minutes of work here. The entire page would have to be made again including the original entries and then adding any new ones.
The advertisers pay for their banner ads, and they make them themselves, all we do is place them on the server when they are sent to us.
Perhaps the vendors would like you to look at the banners they are paying for?
I hope this makes you realize we are not just talking about going into a post and changing a few lines of text here.

Make it a seperate page of the website, not the forums.
Use the direct banner ads, just group them all on one accessable page. An advertiser leaves, simply delete that ad off of the HTML page. The initial setup might take more then 5 minutes, but after that to maintain it is simple.

[/quote]Exactly. That's what I said in my first post.

As I said, I'll get to it when I can.
