I know this is a family oriented website and that is fine with me. I dont mind the profanity ban very much but there was a thread not too long ago "diesel drifting" and the link was removed even though everyone was still interested in seeing it. My solution is maybe you could set up another section labeled mature content or something of that nature that there wouldnt be such a stringent ban on curse words. It could be a section members would have to ask permission to have added to there sections in the forum. I have seen this done on my mustang website "Silver State Stangs" Its just a suggestion because I know im not the only one who would like a bit less restricted content..

 

The problem is that many of those movies allow member comments on them and those children at youtube all think they have to drop an f-bomb in order to be all grownup.

Those comments are located right out in the open below the movie when you click on the link. If we make an area where it is allowed, the members will get used to posting them and likely forget they are not in that special area and still post them.

We have lots of female members and children that read this site every single day, this is why we ask you guys to post in a manner that is respectful to them.

 

when I post something I dont use language. I have respect for this site and the members and I like it alot. ive got a lot of good info from this site. I wish alot of the members could get together somewhere to put a face with the screename. my schedule is very bad so Im not completely sure I could attend anything. I think the site is awesome and keep up the good work

 

you make a good point lary.. i hope you dont think i was trying to bash the site.. its been a lifesaver and helped me make some very educated purchases. Its good to know there are that many kids and women in our hobby.
