Hello members,

We've been working on a new photo gallery section as promised! The system is up and running in test only for now. This means that you can check it out, but you cannot upload photos.

Until the testing is complete, we ask that you check it out and let us know what you think. We think it's going to be a great addition to the site!

Some of the new features:

1. No seperate login for the gallery

2. New users automatically have an area set out for their pics. All they have to do is upload into the member's galleries section and it'll be created.

3. Links to the member's galleries will be in user profiles beside all of their posts so it's easy to see their pictures. If a member doesn't have any pictures, the system will just show an empty gallery.

4. Easier uploading, AND you get to edit and remove your own pictures if you'd like.

5. Posting comments and rating photos is easy.

I haven't enabled that yet, but I plan on doing that tonight. We've been testing so there is only a few pictures up right now.

Not a huge deal, as I think I have them all saved on my computer somewhere, but some might not.

I got my pictures up, but I'm curious why the pictures of my donuts didn't get approved.
Too big? too blury?

They did get approved. The ones I rejected were thumbnails, which you didn't need to load up because the system automatically creates thumbnails.

 

Oh, well, that makes alot of sense! Not sure why I did that.

EDIT: Can I use this as my Avatar? I am using this avatar on a couple other sites that allow Avatars. Thanks.

 

Nice job on the new members area, only suggestion I have is a way to narrow down a search for a members photos. Maybe a drop down menu for year, model, location etc...... it would make it easier to find a certain model of rig!!
