Hey PHOX, I uploaded a photo last night. It was in the pending approval status, now it is gone. I also tried to upload another one which was well in the byte size requirements, but your system kept stopping the upload, saying it was too large, but it wasn't. Can you help with these 2 issues. THANKS!!!
I just went back & looked at the size of the pics I tried to use. I don't really understand how the bytes & kbytes work. The pictures I was trying to upload were from 611kb to 630kb. How can you change the size to get under 500??
Capt,
You can you photo editor software to change the image size or reduce the quality of the photo to lower the file size.
It's a little tricky but once you get the hang of it, it's not much of an issue.
PM me I'll give you more details.

Upload crashed before it finished.
I figured you didn't want that one in your album, since it really didn't show anything.
(I think this is the one referrenced)
As for the size, I really don't know what the limit is for the albums.
I know there is a limit for attachments in posts, I always resize them to 500x500 or less and haven't had a problem.
As Tfeore said, you should be able to resize the pics with whatever flavor of software came with your digital camera.
If not, there are scads of freeware or shareware photo editors out there.
Go to download.com, or software.com and do a search.

There is NO LIMIT to the file size when uploading to the Gallery. However, anytime we see a partial picture that has been uploaded,,,,, it means that either the connection was lost (this occasionally happens to me on dial-up) or the person that was doing the uploading didn't wait long enough for the picture to finish uploading before it was completed or the upload was incomplete for some other reason. When I click the Submit button, I always wait for the screen to change before clicking on anything else. I'm on dial-up at home (
) and it took almost 2 minutes to upload a pic that was only 190k.
You will see this note at the bottom of the up-load page:
When you hit SUBMIT, the file you selected will be uploaded.
(Depending on the size of the file and your connection, this may take some time. Please be patient.)
Hope this sheads a little light on things.
