How about a section for truck finds?

I was on a tractor forum, and they had a section for people to post finds from ebay, craigslist, traders, etc. It makes sense, since Ive seen a dozen under 1st gen alone in just a day or 2. I was thinkin either its own section under general, or as a subforum under each generation.

I really do not like the idea of giving advertising space to ebay users over here.

Seems to me that if a guy is actively looking for something he should be checking all those places already on his own. We don't need the extra forum here taking up space in my opinion

Great idea. Another forum I read also has a seperate section like you are mentioning called "parts". Under the parts section there are 3 different links

-Classifieds
Buy, sell, or trade items here.

-Auction Links
List items your auctioning or cool things you've found on ebay or other auction sites.

-Wrecking Yards
Post here about items your looking for or items you've found at wrecking yards.

This is part of the reason I donated to DTR. To make it DTR THE most resourceful dodge / Cummins place to be. Do you have to make money on EVERYTHING???????????????????????????????????????? ????/

It isn't all about making money....It is about wasting space for stuff we do not need here. We already have a classified section, (which by the way we do not allow links to ebay ads in.)

We purposely keep the number of forums to a minimum around here, more is not always better

Ebay gets paid for all those ads on their site, I am NOT going to waste my bandwith allowing those ads to run here as well for free. That is a waste of MY server space and all it does is clutter up the forums.

Plus, there is already a "Wanted" section in the classifieds, so people could refer to that if they find something that someone wants.

I am just talking about what we already see, like 'check out this find on craigslist...great for someone.' I was thinkin keep it like it is now, where there is no advertising, but simply use it for helping people find cool trucks or good deals.
