hey Jack

Why is it better to close the long running threads and start a new one???
I'm kinda sad my intake thread was closed
I noticed you have been closing all the long threads...do they drag the server down or something??

Thanks

They cause high load on the database when doing searches on them and when going to the ends of the threads. The longer they get, the longer the queries on the db, which means table locks, which means higher load. Once they get over about 350-400 posts, that's when it starts to get a bit taxing. sooooooo, I have been going through a bunch of threads that are really long and closing them.

As I said before though, feel free to start new ones.
