E-mail Notification of Threads

May just be my new e-mail server but I've noticed it's taking over 30 min to notify me of responses to my active threads?? Use to be a lot quicker!

I don't see the same delay on other e-mails I receive, based on the their time of transmission.

I agree. Same here. It is not just "your" server. And I can't say that our server doesn't do some goofy stuff sometimes, but usually it works pretty good with this T1 connection. Seems delayed to me....not that getting notification of something on here is a great emergency or anything....at least not usually.

This issue started for me about 18 hours ago... it's happened before, maybe the software is being tweaked or something.

I expect it'll be back to normal instant notification by tomorrow.

That explains it, Big Blue is getting close to 10,000, again, and he's using too much band width. Sounds like it's time to put the muzzle on him again.

I thought it was because we're changing over from Comcast to TWC and Road Runner. Guess not.

This cell phone connection is not fast, but it's better than nothing.

10 Per person... or 10 total for the web site. Must be the latter since I am not just getting 10 at a time.

That sometimes screws up my system for keeping timely track of who has replyed to my astute and noteworthy posts. Fine for 'Big Blue' with his quantity over quality approach, but....
If that's what it is... so be it! Instant notice is not really up there with World Peace on the important 'stuff' list, is it!

Just an example of my point!
Just received an e-mail (at 1:13 pm) of a reply posted at 11:18 am.
I believe I read 10 new posts (and more) since then. but maybe not??

Frustrating for one who uses E-mails as notification of activity on interesting topics.

You need to contact your isp. We never send them out that late but sometimes they get held up along the line.

Those 10 posts do not necessarily mean that all 10 will result in an email.

More than likely your email provider is treating them as spam and placing them in a bulk folder.
