Well, consider yourself lucky. They were gone for a long time and I almost never brought them back for this very reason.... that and people would use 500k files reduced to 20x20 for an avatar and cause a 10 second page load to turn into 2 minutes for dialup users.

I use photobucket to host my pics and you have the option to resize pics to very small

Nope. Won't happen. sites like photobucket, when they go down, will cause problems with custom avatars not being loaded which on some browsers will keep the entire page from loading. In turn, I get complaints about our site being slow or not work when it's not even our fault. Sorry, but it's not ever going to happen.

Thats fine with me I didn't join the site to show off my avitar anyway I have learned more about my cummins in the past week than I have in the past year thanks to this site Thanks and I like the keep it simple attitude faster is better
