In all seriousness, I really think fears about this site becoming over-run with Ford and GM owners is overblown!<br><br>Face it, this has been a traditional Dodge site - and has over 6000 Dodge-owning members - if YOU were a Ford or GM owner, would you come HERE for your Ford or GM related info - or go to a dedicated Ford or GM board ALREADY established and loaded with experienced members who could REALLY provide you with what you were looking for?<br><br>I realize this new format is only a week old, but so far, 95% of those posting in the Ford/GM sections are DODGE owners - remove their posts down there, and there would be a SERIOUS echo down in those other forums! <br><br>Will that change over time - sure, to a degree, but I seriously doubt either of the new groups will ever become a force to fear on this site - why would they, when they already have far better and established dedicated sites to join?<br><br>Much ado about nothing - other than the possible indifference to those of us already here...

Over time, I realized that it's impossible, so I don't let it get to me anymore when this kind of thing happens. As always, posts on forums can be misunderstood as to the tone of the post. Obviously, this is one of those posts. I'm not indifferent to the members of the site. I appreciate the contributions all of the members make, even the ones that I don't agree with.<br><br><br><br>Exactly Gary, and that's why we've chosen to go this route. As I said before, the responses have been more positive than negative, which so far is a good indicator that the majority of the members, with the exception of relatively few members are for this move.<br><br><br><br>I agree. You are an important part of our member base, and I would hate to lose you, but I'm not going to beg you to come back if you don't. I agree 100%. I think you're reading way too much into what I've said. I respect a good many members on this board, and always will. If you choose not to participate, I can't help that, and I don't have the time to beg all of you to stay. You assume incorrectly, then you say that I'm indifferent to the members. Am I supposed to give you a positive response to this? <br><br>I basically see some of this stuff as a bunch of whining, like the Chevy being first on the logo. Give me a break. That's ridiculous, and if you think it was done on purpose, then you're wrong. Others have brought up things like the name of the chat room, with smart comments about how it needs to change. I take those as being non-helpful according to what I believe the tone of the post. Then again, I have already said that misunderstandings occur on boards like this, and I could be completely wrong.

&quot;Others have brought up things like the name of the chat room, with smart comments about how it needs to change.&quot;<br><br>Since I was at least one (perhaps the only one) who made that suggestion, it was hardly worded as &quot;smart&quot; or even critical - I had just come from the chat area, and noted that while there was a spot for Dodge and &quot;time out&quot; areas, I didn't see any for Ford or GM owners - and sorta figured than any of THOSE owners might feel more comfortable and welcome in a spot more tailored to them - or else perhaps have NO &quot;brand sensitive&quot; chatrooms at all and place everyone on an equal footing - it WASN'T posted - or worded - as a &quot;smart comment&quot; at all, as far as I can see...<br><br>OR. to put it into better perspective, if YOU can see something ulterior in THAT statement by ME, surely you can better understand MY discomfort over the tone of your post I referred to above...<br><br>BUT, you've said your piece - I've said mine - I'll leave what remains for the rest to comment on or ignore, as they see fit...
