i wanna be one. where do i sign up? im on here enough everyday to keep an eye on the flock...so what do i need to do?

I don't have a 10-foot pole handy, but I'll take a stab and say it's not a position one 'signs up' forHopefully we're all lucky enough to be asked to admin someday...

 

I choose the Admins when the need arises by looking through members posts and finding those individuals that already fit the bill by constantly trying to help other members.

Right now I am all full up, but I do appreciate the offer

 

well feel free to place me on a list so as the site grows i can be next in line to keep everyone in line. i promise i could do a good job. and whats the deal w/ my little green thing? ive only had one neg feedback for "flaming a member" the member who was "flamed" was a duramax owner that had a chip on his shoulder during that "i drove a duramax for a week" thread. is the one i have good or bad? its kinda confusing....and you guys feel free to give me some positive marks so we can see how good i can make it!!

That green thing is NOT a part of the infraction system, it is entirely a different system and you get the extra dots when people click on your posts approving what you have to say.

I don't think most of us even know what the heck they really mean

 

I would hope that after all the years of service that I've put in that I'm on that list somewhere.

I for one am confused , I held my pointer over your green dots Lary , and it said " Lary Ellis (TOP) is just really nice" the software is obviously confused

 

well i am an unknown quantity at this point.

what does that mean. i think its bad cause doddin had to of gotten some bad feedback after his comments on the thread about his dad being stuck and he had the same one i have. i want to be a good person. i dont think i have said anything terrible and dont understand why it went bad. you know i wouldnt mind being really nice

Everybody starts out at the unknown quantity point, everybody starts out at 10 points. The system really doesn't mean anything, it is controlled by members either marking a post by you as good or bad.

The numbers do not go up and down with each remark, rather it takes several to get it to change just 1 point. An Admins comments to that system hold a little more weight than an average member, but again not a point per vote kind of thing.

Most people are not even aware of the system so it gets little to no use in general. I wouldn't waste a single minute worrying about it either way, we don't need little colored dots to tell us if we like somebody or not

 

well thanks for the info. i think its a neat system to show other members a little appreciation for their info.
