Diesel Truck Resource has implemented a new security measure to prevent bandwidth stealing as this has been a problem for some time.

All pictures uploaded to our photo gallery section have been marked for security in an access file on our server. What this means is that the pictures are viewable only on our site, unless you download it to your own machine. It also means that if you try and "hotlink" an image on our site to another, it will show up as a red x on that site. For instance, if you decide to show your pic on another forum, and you use the img tag to link it back to us, it will not show the picture on that site.

If you use the img tag on OUR forums, the image will show up without issue. Links directly to photos have also been stopped. You must use the photo gallery section to view photos uploaded there.

I cant find mine!

 

I too can't see any pics. Just the red X. This happened when i down loaded my last two pics. I can see them thou on someone elses computer. What's up?

Lower your security settings in your browser to low, and make sure you're using IE. Tell me what happens.

Do you mean you can't find your old ones or you can't find the ones you have uploaded into the new Photo Gallery?

I uploaded a few pics in the new gallery no problem. Then a few days latter i uploaded a few more,and thats when the problem started. Now i can't see any pics(mine or anybody elses). Even looking at truck of the month, it's a red X as well. The weird thing as well is i uploaded my pics to another site after i put them here,i have no problem there. I uploaded the same there as i did here. I did not take from here to install there if that's what your thinking.

 

oh i just remembered something else. I can see photos in the forums, but nothing at all when in the member photos area.

 

I thought it was just me, I have posted pictures in a post that I have hosted on ANDALE and they show up.

The pictures I posted in the Gallery showed up when I first posted them, then they went away and all I get is a Red X, it even let me post to new ones, still a red x.Everyone elses is a red X as well.

Oh yeah, I did try the link above and got the old Gallery to come up. jus' not the new one. Jim

 

I need details guys. What kind of browser are you using? what version? what's your connection? etc etc.

 

I'm using internet explorer and I think it is version 7.0 or 7.1 I think. Also the connection I'm using is cable. Hope that helps

 

I think it is the Security Hardware that is keeping us from seeing them.

I hope you get them fixed but I can live until you do. Thanks for all of the efforts you are making. Jim
