Good Oil Pressure???

Being new to the diesel scene, I am not sure if I am running at a good oil pressure or not. On the stock guages, at cold idle I am running on the 6th line (from the left including the big line) when it warms up I run right around the 3rd to 4th line. I have no idea what numbers the lines represent, so is this normal, or something I need to look at? I had an oil change (from the dealer) with filter around 1000k ago...thanks...and by the way...it is amazing how much I am learning on this site, and after seeing some of ya'lls pictures...I think my "better half" is going to let me put stacks on for a new exhaust!! (old one is about to fall off)

The stock gauges are really good for nothing, if you are concerned about your oil pressure then go out and buy a oil pressure gauge with the tubing. You should be able to get it for like $10 and just hook it up the the port in the filter mount and see what shes readeing while shes running. You can keep it permanently there or just to check it. If you choose to use it as a dianostic tool it will come in handy. You can use it to check boost, fuel, and of course the oil pressure. Its well worth the $10 for a infomative tool like a pressure gauge

I couldn't have said it any better.

To show how crappy they are...my stock guage will run sometimes 3/4 sweep and up, still yet my mechanical oil pressure guage stays the same as when the stock guage is at 1/2 sweep. FYI, your prob ok on oil pressure. Mine reads 75 psi and up when cold, 62-65 at cruise, and 35 at idle.

You might want to change your oil pressure sender,
Over time they sometimes become less sensitive and it can give you a
false low reading.

IMO the factory gauge is sorta usless, at least in my truck it is, on my mechancal gauge I run 65 or so cold down to 40 warm at idle, and my factory gauge never even moves, it just stays about half way up and maybe fluctuates 1/16".
