Can't turn stuck on the side of the road.

Hey guys, I can turn right fine but I can't turn left at all. Power steering fluid is full, anything I need to do to make this work, just my day. I'll be checking my phone, thanks!

Also, when you try left, does it freewheel or just stop? Close look at anything might have dropped and bound up the knuckles?

Did the clockspring in the turn signal switch go boing and bind the wheel up? Happened to my 91 D350.

Made it back home, the steering is very stiff to turn left. I was turning the wheel and it popped like something let free. Turning right is easy, thinking my power steering pump just went or is going. Very very very hot to the touch. Also my injection pump started to leak.. awesome.

When the power steering pump goes you get no assist in either direction. Assist in one direction is usually a steering box failure. I had one fail in the same manner. I swapped on the right sized tires and it partially came back. It has some assist in the direction that it failed in as long as the truck is moving. I think the 265-75 16 tires helped in its demise.

Check your steering box bracket.

Do you have a steering stabilizer on this? I had one fail and it would bind in one direction only.

No steering stabilizer, all stock. I guess I'll replace the gearbox and see what she does.

Disconnect the draglink from the steering box, jack the front end up, turn the wheels by hand and feel for anything abnormal before condemning the steering box.
