Sorry, couldn't help myself.
Google "salmon preserved with smoke" and start there. From what I could see with a quick look fish that is smoked has to be refrigerated after it's cooked. If the fish is dried it's already preserved.I'm out, it's going to be a long day tomorrow.

Salmon jerky is awesome. Eat it straight out of the vacuum pack. Smoked then canned is even awesomer. Mix it up with some creamcheese and make a spread out of it or straight out of the can too...... Plain ol' smoked I eat cold with cheese and crackers.
I ate about a half pound of the jerky last night......Tasty.

Cool yall. We'll tear into this then and see how Rick did. If he kills us off with a stomach bug we're not ever attending one of his house parties again!
I probably better drag myself to bed soon. Something tells me I'm going to not wanne get up and get moving in the a.m.
Night night.

Also, the neighbors don't like it when Jake lets him out of the house but its better than having to get the carpets cleaned.
I usually headed up to your area anyway but DOFG just changed our Kenai regs to antlers of at least 50 inches or four or more brow tines on one side. Wish I wasn't so cheap, I would charter a flight accross the inlet.
Thought you had made the term "donkeys" up. I researched it (my scientific mind at work) and discovered that donkey is slang for gluteus maximus. DTR can be very intellectually stimulating and I learn something new and important every day
.Depends on how it's done.

Now, my favorite way---(I love raw salmon used for sushi). You are not supposed to eat raw salmon unless it has been frozen at 0f for 24 hours because of the chance of tapeworm.
Take the frozen salmon (tail sections work best), thaw it over night in the fridge with soy sauce, ginger or whatever you like. Put it back in the freezer for 15 minutes to make it easier to thin slice it. Put the slices on bagels or on sushi rice. We like it better than the raw tuna most places use. It is good!!

'Copulation'... An electrocuted cop?
What do you do, get out a tape measure before you take the thing down?
Morning all.
Today is Saturday, August 20th.
On this day in 1741 - Danish navigator Vitus Jonas Bering discovered Alaska.
1866 - The National Labor Union in the U.S. advocated an eight-hour workday.
1866 - It was formally declared by U.S. President Andrew Johnson that the American Civil War was over. The fighting had stopped months earlier.
1914 - German forces occupied Brussels, Belgium, during World War I.
1918 - The British opened its Western Front offensive during World War I.
1940 - France fell to the Germans during World War II.
1967 - The New York Times reported about a noise reduction system for album and tape recording developed by technicians R. and D.W. Dolby. Elektra Record's subsidiary, Checkmate Records became the first label to use the new Dolby process in its recordings.
1977 - Voyager 2 was launched by the United States. The spacecraft was carrying a 12 inch copper phonograph record containing greetings in dozens of languages, samples of music and sounds of nature.
1986 - Patrick Henry Sherril, postal employee, killed 14 co-workers in a shooting spree at the post office in Edmond, OK.
1998 - U.S. military forces attacked a terrorist camp in Afghanistan and a chemical plant in Sudan. Both targets were chosen for cruise missile strikes due to their connection with Osama bin Laden.
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
The weakest of minds are usually connected to the biggest of mouths.
Coffee's on, nice an' strong!

Morning folks. Made it through another birthday yesterday. Made up and changed out 2 of the most difficult to access hydraulic lines on the under reach of one of our 40 ton heavies
. Got the wife's jeep all serviced up and 4 new sneakers put on it. 140k on it and it goes down the road as nice as new, I love that 4.0.
Some yard work, some service work on my truck then pinning to the 5ver for a week of R&R at Hampton beach. Long range forecast says a real nice week ahead up there so I expect a hurricane.
Really looking forward to some down time, gonna have the grand daughter teach me how to fish.
Have a great weekend everyone, if your on the road, have a safe and successful trip.

Happy Belated Birthday Tim.
My wife has a Jeep Compass. She loves it. I keep finding features on it that we did not know about. I will take my Ram over the Jeep though.
All is well up here in spite of some 'stuff' and I just keeping forging ahead.
Off to work again, woo hoo.
Enjoy the day eh.

we should tawk, joisey boy..... this thing has been sitting outside for every one of it's years. only thing 'gone' is the eight inch struts that hold the rear fender walls on. motor needs to be re-done to include the oil lines inside. the wood dash burned up when hubby was working on it, and caught the garage on fire at his home- in 1981. yeah. 'nuff said.
You should see what we do for entertainment
There's allot of Whacks out there. Be safe. If you see a red Ram with Jorsey plates on it behind you, consider it a backup.
yup, love my jeep liberty. Loved my 96 dodge ram though, haven't looked at any other brand. love the one ton 04 but it is hubby's ride.
mmmm smoked salmon! I have two halibut and one salmon left. gonna wait till winter with the canned stuff to enjoy. Did one on a plank; one with guacamole, and thin sliced halibut with mango salsa....hubby is cro magnon man- meat and potatoes. must have used his tongue to test the electric fence at one time.
Bark, funny. yup, neighbors like the janitor locked up. Cincy does too but for different reasons I guess......
yeah, I am cheap as well- did not charter a bush plane the whole trip. bartered construction to frame and pour a slab to head Northwest. glad I did not pay for the concrete
loved seeing the float planes all over though!
How the heck do you guys even hunt? that friggin' alder is thick!!!
"oh, look a moose! cause a tree stump in the air would be wrong."
if you used a tree stand, you could go for a ride on it's back.
ok gangs all here- off to play Top Shot
matt- I'll PM ya on the guns can't say publically, not safe.
