ok iv got to be missing something here, installed my box but i cant feel any difference between the settings, it lowered my idle from 900 to 800 but thats all i can tell its done, any help?

ok pulled it out trying to run the update thing and i get a error says that "object reterence not set to an instance of an object" ??????

You did get the Data Link plugged in correct? On your truck it should be the Grey Triangle plug.

Now, to update it you need to download an update and then run it. When you do so it should take you through a driver install.

Once that is done, go ahead and disconnect the USB from the module. Then plug it back in just to make sure the USB resets and hit update. Try to hit update as soon as you can after plugging it back in.

When you plug the USB in and out it should make that dumb little USB sound. If it does then you have the drivers installed.

well im hopeing the data link is hooked up right, the guy who owned the truck before me hard wired a ez for a 01 in, so i didnt have the triangle. i called a frind with the same yr truck and wired the triangle back in to what i hope were the right wires. do you know what color is a and what color is b? i think i have the green in the a position and the yellow in the b.

ok just tryed it on the 3rd comp and it keeps making sounds like its coneccting then disconecting then conecting, and on.... still no power in the truck maybe lost a little, feels like lag got longer.

First, I am not so sure that wiring it in that way is all that great. There are too many things that can go wrong. I don't have a wire diagram in front of me so I am not certain on the wire colors. Have you tried both ways? You can do that without hurting anything.

The box is supposed to connect, look and listen, reset and then connect again.

That is why I mentioned you need to wait to plug it in until the application is running. Then as soon as you plug it in hit update module. When you do this the text box should give you information on whether it sees the box or not and what it is doing or if there is an error.


My money is on the CAN wires being backwards.

ok well ill switch those, and i wired a new plug in to where the old plug should of been then wraped it all up to keep moisture out.

ok if the conecting and disconecting it normal then the error is the problem, same error as before, how do i get rid of that error?

Did you go through the whole driver installation thing? Did you let windows install the drivers when it popped up?

At the end did it ask you if you wanted to continue anyway for an unknown software to install?

i did the whole install and ya both times i installed it on both computers it had that unknown software and i told it to continue, do you have it ready for vista yet? im having to do this on my work computer cuz my computer has vista

Well it works on some versions of vista. We do not have it 100% vista ready yet though.


I am not sure what that error is right off the top of my head???

In the meantime you need to get the box working right in stock form.

On Monday we need to get you in contact with Justin first and then with Will if Justin cant help you on the USB stuff.

ok one wire didnt clamp down all the way so it fell out, went with a different way of hooking it up to prevent that, but wow ya it works now!!!!!!
