will the bd xmonitor work with a 99 2500 for tapping the tranny temp wire just to get a temp of what the trany is at?

 

It should, pretty much the same electronics as my 01. Funny thing on the trans temp though. While on vacation I came out one morning and turned the key "on". While "waiting to start" since it was zero on the overhead I noticed that the trans temp was at 20. I don't think the trans temp was at 20 after sitting all night.
