Edge Comp Question?
Edge Comp Question?
I've decided to do some upgrades to my truck, bought gauges (fuel pressure, pyro, tranny temp), 4 inch SS exhaust, edge comp, I already had K & N air filter, I was wondering what setting I should put my edge comp on with what I have or if 1 was as high as I need to go.
Welcome. I see you have gauges already, good.
What year is your truck? Is it a auto or stick? Did you pierce the wire?
How high you go is up to you but I like the 5x5 setting but i'm kinda funny that way

without knowing if your truck has a auto or manual or what year it is. Hard to give you good advice if your truck is an auto and a late 2000 your truck has a hy35 turbo which has a very small compressor housing 9cm and you will have egt problems on the higher settings as well as you transmission and torque convertor will be slipping alot if it is a manual you have a hx35 with 12cm housing no egt problems but your going to have a little clutch slippage just fill in your signature describing your truck
With a tranny temp gauge I will assume you have an automatic transmission. The stock auto's do not like more than an extra 60 Hp (some not even that much) before they start to burn up. Alot has to do with how you apply the extra Hp. Some has to do with what sub setting you set it at as that is how soon the extra Hp comes on according to boost pressure.
Setting 1. 40 Hp
Setting 2. 60 Hp
Setting 3. 80 Hp
Setting 4. 100 Hp
Setting 3. 120 Hp
I would just run it without the pump wire tapped on setting 2 until you at the least increase line pressure with a valve body kit or valve body swap. The a good TC from any one of these will secure the deal. Just click on the links below to go to their web site.
