If he doesn't put a Juice box on it before you get it on, you should spank him, but if he does, without you knowing, watch out! I wouldn't want to put cash on it without inspecting both vehicles close up.

 

With just an EZ you are going to have your hands full big time. If he has the allison, that thing will trot out of the whole and surprise the heck out of you. When I only had my PM3 and a 4" straight pipe, I was embarassed by a stock max big time. Now with the injectors and the EZ stacked with the PM3 I do the embarassing.

If all you got is the EZ, don't embarass yourself especially off the line. As much as I hate to say it.

 

What does your truck have for Rear end gears? How fast are you guys running to? The D-max stock is going to govern out at 98mph.

come on guys. my 90 ctd 0nly put 221 on the rollers. i have yet to have a d-max beat me. what is going on. only run to about 85. by then it is usually over no matter who is in front. talking about a stock d-max only. signature says it all.

 

i have a buddie with a 03 with a quad 120 hp box on it. it will smoke me from a stop, i can get him from a 50 or so mph roll. don't be fooled, these trucks will run with just a little work. mike

 

Jug....I'd question your rollers. That trap speed equates to about 350 h.p for a 6500# truck

 

Sorry to say, it. I wouldn't go after a D-max without injectors.

I did take one with just an EZ AND DD2s. And I didn't beat him by much. I assume he was stock.

Ya a stock Duramax will beat you even with an EZ box on your truck. Don't bet money on the race your pride will be hurt enough after he's done gloating about his "fast" truck.

I defintaely have some insight here My dads truck with a TST comp box jacked up makes 200 HP over stock he can almost run we me with just a box.

I have EDM 2.5's B1KS Edge Drag comp Fully DTT trans and he's all over me to about 60 MPH then I pull him like a freight train keep in mind though I drive a daulie he only had a SRW 2500 now he just got a new 04 daulie so this summer when my truck is on the road its on.


Soooooooooooo with just an EZ you are pretty much gonna be head to head if he is stock if he puts even a mild box on kiss your pride goodbye!

 

Back when I had just an EZ and exhaust I raced my brother in his D-Max when he was stock a few times and he was slightly faster untill we got in the top end. Both my brother and my dad drive D-Max's with some degree of power enhancements and those things will really get moving with very little work. They are still seeing my smoke and taillights though. At least for now!
