Wildcat Fuel System Upgrades
Wildcat Fuel System Upgrades
I just finished the installation and it was pretty easy even with minimal destructions.
Fuel pressure is up 2PSI at idle I was 13 now 15 steady.
Cruise don't get below 13.5 and WOT 7PSI + so Im very happy I was pulling my FP to 3 or less before the kit at WOT with my comp on 5 now I can't get below 7 so the kit works for anyone on the fence.
What I did
First day I installed the connection from the outlet to the VP44 chich is really easy then today I installed the filter inlet and the main fuel to the lift pump connection. Both parts combined would take up about 1.5 hours taking it easy so its no big deal. After each connection I started the truck to keep the prime up. The hardest one is the LP outlet to the cannister inlet I unhooked the cannister took about 1' of hose and connected it to the 90's then installed it then put the cannister back on. The inlet for the LP is easy just remove the old one put the barbed fitting on I would shove the hose on before installing the fitting. Then under the truck you go on mine it was the inside line closest to the frame that was the main line took the x acto knife and sliced the line came right off the hose. Cut the braised rubberline to fit and I was off. Anyone looking to up there FP this is a great way to do it. ;D

Jamie,
Did you use the PE 4200 that Rod has, or did you just use his line kit. At any rate sounds like a nice setup and something I'll have to check into in the near future.

Still using the stock LP! Thats why I know the kit really works! Like I posted I was pulling less then 3PSI WOT before now I'm a steady 7+ after the installation.

What are you talking about?A pusher pump or something?
[/quote]
It's a fuel line upgrade that Wildcat Diesel offers. The idea is that the pump isn't as much of a problem as the lines and banjo fittings. With this kit the stock fuel pump is retained. As Jamie has seen, fuel pressure goes up, but I'm sure that volume also is increased. trying to get all that fuel through a little hole in a banjo bolt is very restrictive.
I hope this helps clear things up for you.
