caper, I have the BD 2 lo kit on my 01.5. It is a very easy install. I installed it over 3 years ago. The price was quite reasonable I thought. The shifting valve is the same as on my pacbrake.
Hope this helps.

Make your own if you want to , go to Princess auto , or any other place that sells air valves , get a solonoid operated one , normally open , and splice it into the vaccum supply line going to the switch ontop of your T case, mount a switch in the cab for the solonoid. Flip the switch to energize the solonoid , and close the valve , then shift into 4 low. The solonoid valve will prevent the vaccum from sliding the locking collar on your axle , and with the t case in 4 low , you will still only be in 2wd.

4x4 posi-lok system works great and you dont have to worry about the vacuum actuator going south, or getting a hole in a line on you either.

The BD kit is under or around a hundred bucks. It should be easy to install as all BD stuff has thorough directions. I'm going to do one myself, just haven't gotten around to it yet what with hunting season and all. Looks like a winter project....they are mounting up at this point....

Hey caper, if I'm not mistaken the '02 dosen't have a vaccum actuated locking axle. On my '02 there is nothing on the axle where the fork should be. The axle is always locked. I know because the driveshaft is always spining. It's the T-case that unlocks and thats it. This is how it is on every '02 I've seen. So I really don't think you can do it. Correct me if I'm wrong.
