I just ordered a Comp from Rod and was looking for some suggestions on where to mount it. Any suggestions or pics would be appreciated, Thanks in advance!!

I mounted mine in the ashtray since I don't smoke. Will need to do some dremmil work though to the inside of the ashtray

 

mine's in the same area as propuller's .... but I just mounted mine with velcro .............

 

Thanks for the ideas. Are there any tips that you have learned to make the install go any easier?

I just used the velcro that came with it and put it on the left side of the steering column. I have a brake controller on the right side... ;D

I mounted mine in the ashtray as well. Very stealthy.

 

How about in your face molded in the bezel above the HVAC controls?

Mine in mounted on the dash near the steering coloum on the left side of it. I got a bunch of little circles of velcro and peppered the comp then stuck it on been there 2 years now hasn't moved.

 

Right on top of the steering column with velcro.... Almost looks like it belongs there!

I admit Steve gets the prize on this one!!! Nice job!

Wish I had the guts that Heberam does, that looks great!

Recessed mine into the knee bolster near the top at the curve and to the right of the steering column beside the steering wheel. I'll see if I can get a pic.

I did a search and found someone that put it in their ashtray but attatched to the top so they could still use the ashtray for putting junk in. That's what I did. Easy and totally hidden when the ashtray is closed. I just tried find it but the search pulled up nothing. Sorry. It looks just like the pics of the other one in the ashtray but it is mounted to the top instead of the bottom.
