With my drag comp on 5x5,mach 4's and an htb2 shouldn't I still blow a good cloud at 2500 rpm?
On the dyno at 2500rpm my smoke clears out completely. The egts still climb(1600+) boost don't drop and I still make power so where does the smoke go?
I'm not complaining just curious.
If I can clear out the 4's maybe its time to try 5's.

Hmm, sounds like not enough fuel...

 

I have a buddy who drag races his 02, M4's Dcomp, and an equivalent turbo his smoke is cleared up by the 60' line. M4's burn pretty clean with a decent sized single.

 

i say at 2500rpm's your boost is high enough to NOT allow a black cloud of smoke to be produced. now at 1400rpm's it might be a different story.

"...I still make power so where does the smoke go?", well the power is the result of the fuel burning in its entirety and hence minimal smoke. smoke = untapped power, its just waiting for more air.

sounds like a good combo, just needs a little more air for the EGTs...if thats of any concern.

 

With my DragComp on 5x5 and my 125hp injectors with my stock turbo ill smoke all the way till 3300 and its still pretty thick....I like it!
