Are the silicone hoses better then the black for the Cummins? If so, where can I get them?

You mean the GoodYear Hi-Miler/Cool Blue silicone?

It's $$$, especially for a preformed kit!

I think that's it.
I want to replace my hoses with the best option available. My truck is getting long in the tooth and I want to prevent as many future headaches as possible.

The hoses I'm looking for are the radiator and heater hoses.

I use silicon for turbo hose but would not think it a necessary expense for coolant.

I bgt NAPA replacements after 4 yrs (120,000+ miles). Planned on replacing them @ 2 yrs thereafter, but the used hoses were in such good condition, I revised my plan to @ 4 yrs.
You do know the bottom hose is coil lined (to prevent suction collapse), right? I guess silicon hose designed for our trucks would be too?

Thanks for the input guys. Guess I'll go with Mopar or Goodyear black hoses for the coolant hooses. I may upgrade the intercooler hoses since they are feeling a little soft.

We had to get a roll of the blue silicone hose for the BOE Kits - that stuff was crazy expensive! But - good up to 500*F service... and the suction hose going into the water pump would still need to have the anti-collapse coil inside.

I have the Mr. Bobs kit and would not recommend it. All the hoses are cut too short, and all the intercooler clamps were too small.

Thanks for the info Marine. That's quite the chunk of change to drop for something of that quality. Semper Fi

You bet. I was worried the boot would not even connect to the intake horn, it was so short.
