Wheel well paint lip protection?
Wheel well paint lip protection?
I plan on doing some off-roading with my new 4x4, and would like to know if there is anything that I can put onto the 1 inch or so metal painted lip that is around the edge of all 4 wheel wells, so they don't get nicked and chipped... and do this without affecting the overall appearance of the truck.
Thoughts?

Re:Wheel well paint lip protection?
When I get my new truck, I plan on getting the rocker panels sprayed with the bedliner stuff, same as on my current, and have them get that metal in the wheel well covered also.
I have no rock chips of any kind on the lower portions of my truck.

Festus,
Good to see another Edmonton boy on here....
I think the best option is to spray the rockers with Linex Urethane bedliner or something similar....for ultimate protection, you could also install some fender flares (Bushwacker, Mopar, Xenon etc.). The Bushwackers are nice because if you happen to damage one - you can buy a replacement. With the others, you have to buy a full set.
