wheel /tire question for 2002 ram
wheel /tire question for 2002 ram
upgradeing tire size like to go bigger, but the truck is stock lift-wise
it's a 2002 2500
whats the largest size I could run with out a lift,, been searching, and so many choices..
was thinking 305/70-R16 But been tempted with a set 315/75-R16 for a really good price..
could I use the 315/75 while staying stock? or am I asking too much?
and what wheel size would you recomend or are useing?
and if anyone has photos it would help ..
thanks....

The dodge has pretty generous wheel wells so you will be more concerned with tire width.
Too wide and they rub on the axle control arms, which can take chunks out of the tread when backing up a tight turn. Of course, if you go wider and offset the tire outbound to fit it, you will be putting more stress on the unit (hub) bearings, and they do not like that...
And you will probably see more answers to your question in the "No Drivetrain" section.
