love it
got the gauges today , lookin good
edge comp comes tomorrow morning (cant wait)
what do i gotta do next ? exhaust or trans,
exhaust i know (can do that no prob)
trans ? what do i gotta do to it? will a local performance tranny guy know what to do?
ps. 01 ram diesel (o course) 54000 miles
4.10 gears, still under warranty (any way to sabotage trans and get them to do it?)
have tried the comp yet but already dying to "tap the wire"

Once you tap the wire you have no warrenty on anything motor or trans wise.
Also your stock trans will not like the comp on 5X5 with a pierced wire.
I would do the tranny. Need at least a aftermarket (ATS, DTT, Goerend etc..) Valve body and tq converter. If you plan to go above 400 hp or so you should really consider billet input and output shafts.

what kind of money$ is being spent to build a trans correctly ?
also, when the guys are running the 1/4 mile are they running in 4x4 or just the 2
i dont get how you get the *** to stick in just 2

with that fresh of a tranny if it hasnt been beaten by the driver
you should be able to get away with just a converter and vavle body then you can tap the wire if you really feel the need. i see no fuel upgrades as far as the delivery system goes that comp will want more fuel so it might be a good idea to start looking at a better fuel pump something like a fass or fass2 just to name a few there are lots of good fuel pumps out on the market these vp44s need lots of fuel to keep them happy and cool.

01 auto has the HY35 turbo, that thing is going to be HOT
, you will need to start saving for a turbo also. Tranny slippage and exhaust temps through the roof are the norm for your truck if you tap the wire, even with intake and exhaust.
