whats the difference?

I am having trouble sourcing a 6.7 exhaust manifold for my VGT project and I was curious...What is the difference between the 2003 - 2007 exhaust manifold and the 2007.5 - present manifold? Are they different turbo flanges? Just curious.

The flanges are different. You can get an adapter to bolt it to a T3 flange. Then you can run it on a 2nd gen manifold as well as the 3rd.

I would rather not run the adapter. From what I have read this will cause issues with the shock tower if I am not mistaken. Any ideas on that?
Thanks for the input Tate!!

The adapter I have seen offsets the turbo a bit, so you can run it towards the rear and should give more clearance with shock tower.

Different flanges, and smaller passages on the 5.9 manifold.
