Whats all my performance worth?

ok here it is guys... Ive been thinking about it and im trying to deside what the value is of my truck with all the mods on it. I am thinking of getting one of the new 06's because buddy told me that he can get me a base model 4x4 Mega cab in the 6 speed for 29,995 with his employee discount. Im trying to determine what i should do because i really do like the newer body styles over the older 2nd gen body and the fact that they have the oil cooled pistons and the 06 has a different cam and everything standard. Banks will be coming out with a Twin Variable Geometry turbo system for the 06's this year also.

I'm sure selling a "modded" truck of that caliber would be similar to me selling the race car......and you're not going to like the pennies on the dollar price that it would most likely sell for.

Try not to sell the truck modded, you'll be giving the stuff away.
Sell all the mods on ebay or classifieds and then sell the truck.

My opinion.

As the guys have stated above, selling the truck with these mods expect pennies on the dolllar.... Most guys get loans for their vehicles and the bank isn't going to give them any $$ for the mods, so blue book + a little if its really clean is usually what you can get. A guy in our diesel club had to remove all performance mods just to sell the truck and then he sold all performance items for 50% on the dollar and all mods were less than 5 months old.

One other thought is that it'll take a lot of $$$$ to get an '06 even close to the power you have now. If it were me though and you really want the new truck, do like the other guys said and part it out, then sell the stock truck.
Just be sure to let us know when the mods go up for sale !

When you mod a truck, you marry it-- plain and simple.

The only way to get out of that (like any other marriage) is to lose your shirt.

Most buyers could care less about mods let alone pay extra for them.
In fact many buyers prefer a truck that hasn't been modded, less potential for abuse.

50%, you can do better than that.
Unless you are selling the mods to a performance dealer

Thats pretty much the going rate for used parts dealer or individual..... If you want to get more sometimes it happens but normally not.

I'm a retard and lose my butt everytime I sell something. I have an obsession with dumping butt loads of money into my trucks, then get bored with them and end up losing a ton of money on them to turn right around and do it again!!!! You would think that one of these days I would learn, but hey I'm a guy................enough said!!!!
