My star wheel is in a five gallon bucket along with the fuel plate and guts from under the afc. The star wheel tinker with until you get a pretty quick spool, without pouring to much smoke before it does so. I ran my afc all the way forward when I was using it and my plate I ran close to all the way to the front IMO. But I have the 215 pump in mine, try the plate and afc all the way forward and see how you like it. then do the same with the star wheel, I think everyone will give you a different answer, its personal preference. I like mine gutted because my right foot takes care of all fueling and boosting desires. want no smoke can drive it and know one would ever know the mess I could make. Get PO,ed at a rice burner I have all the fuel my pump can give me. just gotta take the time to tinker bring the tools on the road with ya and stop every so often and play with it.

#0 all the way forward
Starwheel all the way loose
AFC housing full forward
About 5 threads showing past the locknut on the pre-boost screw

It smokes plenty if i mash on it, but I can roll into it and keep it to a haze. My converter is really too tight for very good driveability anyways, so i just go easy from the lights and call it good. I have played with my starwheel and pre-boost screw settings, but I like it the best how it is now.

Home grown zero plate full forward, AFC forward. Tried no plate, but without gutted AFC. Had less power due to arm hanging up on afc, I think.
