What to upgrade with new comp?

I'm getting an edge comp probably next week (still don't have guages, and yes, its on my list of things to get first ) and was wondering what else I should reinforce now that i have the added hp and torque?
Thanks a lot for the advice!
Ian

Your tranny. If you tap the wire and turn it on anything above 2 you'll kill it. Talk to any of the Big three tranny companies (DTT, Goerend, ATS) and see what they have to say. Since you've got so many miles on yours your probably gonna need an update kit along with a new torque converter and valve body. It's gonna be pretty expensive to upgrade the tranny. I suggest leaving the wire untapped until you upgrade the tranny. Your probably also gonna have to upgrade your fuel system to. Do a search on both the tranny and fuel pumps and you'll find TON of info on them.

Before you install the comp, make sure you have a good fuel pressure reading. Get the gauges on first to get baseline readings, otherwise you will be flying blind.

Yes! Before I had a pusher pump I could bring the FP down to 4psi. on a brand new LP.And that was in EZ mode.I wouldn't add any fuel with out the gauges.Heck,I wouldn't want to drive a stock truck without gauges.
