I have heard some people refer to a smoke switch on their trucks. What is this and how do you wire one in??

 

It's a fast way to dump dollars out the tailpipe.

ok i looked but i dont recall the wiring info for it.

 

i have been reading on this for a few hours which brings me to my question. will a smoke switch work with a superchips and bd boost fooler. if so would i splice into the wires wefore or after the in line BD boost fooler?

 

Check out moparman1973 (sp) on here. You have to have a edge comp box to do the smoke switch. What you do is unplug the map sensor with the edge comp box and it smokes alot more. You cannot do it with any other box other than the comp.

Do a search for it and you will find it.

 

And i have a comp box that will fit your truck. Its used but works awesome.PM me if you want it.

 

I thought the mystery switch referred to the tranny lock-up switch.

what exactly does the smoke switch do? How does it prevent boost from being built?

 

Sorry about that confusion, I'm not sure what I was thinking. I did watch that little youtube video and it seems pretty straight forward.

oh the youtube video shows exactly what it is. i have dial up internet and it takes forever to download vids.

 

you can also unplug the map sensor on an edge ez....its not just with the comp..
