What now!

Dynoed today and put down a high of 458\956. It could of been higher but for some reason my even with a drag comp I defuel at around 2800 rpm. I can watch my egt and boost fall away at 2800. It comes in real hard than falls on its face. Im dissapointed. Im begining to think there is more wrong with the truck besides the driver. I was throwing an overboost code so we cleared the code, checked all connections and dynoed again. I ran the same numbers and still defueled with no code this time.
If anyone has any ideas please let me know.

Thanks Mooseman

I think the factory ECM defuels right around 2700RPM. Someone will confirm or deny this shortly I suspect.

I thought with the drag comp on 5x5 it should allow fueling to 3200.

I still think your ECM is messed up.

This, along with your other recent problems, it's gotta be the ECM.

Sounds like time for a MAD ECM upgrade, to solve defueling issues, especially if yours is toast.

I notice you're in Logan. If you haven't ruled out the Comp, maybe you could take a couple of hours one day to run down to Ogden and have Edge check out your box. The over boost code may be telling you something.

Edge has been very cordial with him, I think he's on his 3rd or 4th comp as well as a new harness, all courtesy the good folks at Edge.

Edge has been more than good to me. I hate to keep bothering them with my problems but I am going to contact them to see If they have ever delt with this before. It may help their R&D.

Thanks to all, Mooseman

As far as the mad ecm, Id like to try one before I buy one. Im sure its worth the $ but I would like to know if that will fix my problems before I spend the cash and find out its something else. I know of noone around my location with a mad ecm or anybody thats even heard of it.

I would suggest talking to Bob Wagner and see if you could work something out!

It ended up being the comp. I drove to edge today and had them test my comp.
The tec. went for a ride with me so he could see what I was talking about. The whole time we were gone I kept telling him it may not be his comp, but after our ride he insisted we pull the comp off his truck and try it on mine. Well, his worked perfect on my truck so it now belongs to me. Now it will pull past red line with no problem.
After we were done changeing boxes out a VP from Edge took us on a tour of the whole facility, gave us some t-shirts and a few tickets to weekend on the Edge diesel drags on Sept. 9.
I am veeeeeeeeery impressed with there facility, customer care and their products.

Thanks Mooseman

Yes you can run your comp. You tell them you have a comp when you order your mad ecm. I think the timing is backed of a little in the mad ecm for use with comps and other boxes that add timing.
