What Matters for Light Brightness Other Than Wattage?
What Matters for Light Brightness Other Than Wattage?
I'm looking to get a really bright set of backup lights, but all the ones I see seem to be 55 Watts. From the $100 KC backup lights down tot he $20 AutoZone backup lights, they're all 55 Watts (for the most part). Does this mean that they're equally bright, or is there some other important number to look at that will help me choose the brightest ones? Thanks!
I went to the semi supply and bought a pair of 55watt diffused lens jobbies for $20 they are great for brightness as well as spreading the light around, I mounted them on my reciever cross tube ends and tied into the reverse lights without a relay, the fuse never goes and all is still well. great for hooking up the trailer in the dark...put the t-case in neutral and reverse and voila LIGHT!
